After several years of development, Evolution Measurement is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking EvoScann® P10-D pressure scanner, a cutting-edge measurement solution developed in line with the EU funded H2020 CleanSky2 RACER programme. This innovative device represents a significant leap forward in aerodynamic measurement technology, providing unparalleled performance and customisation options for the flight test environment.
Building upon proven EvoScann® technology, the P10-D delivers the first-ever 10-channel true-differential pressure scanner. Designed with meticulous attention to the demands of aerospace applications, the P10-D features a fully customisable mechanical interface, ensuring seamless integration into diverse testing configurations, often without the need for any tubing.
Uniquely, the pressure scanners can be connected in a daisy chain configuration, reducing the length of cables required, whilst delivering readings from each scanner, individually. This state-of-the-art design significantly improves frequency response and streamlines operations.
Engineered for exceptional measurement performance, the P10-D offers the highest resolution available in the market today. The P10-D’s ten direct true differential pressure sensors are coupled to a 24-bit ADC. Measurement output speeds of up to 2kHz are possible in a variety of measurement units. Pressure signals are fully temperature compensated and, additionally and uniquely, the P10-D incorporates an additional barometric sensor that is only used for measurement of local atmospheric pressure. This measurement doesn’t form part of the differential measurement meaning that this scanner is unique in its class for this type of measurement, but is able to report barometric or static pressure changes at multiple locations around the test article, when multiple scanners are deployed.
Its robust construction ensures reliability under the most challenging conditions, while its aerospace-specific communication protocol guarantees efficient data transmission during flight tests. EvoScann® P10-D uses IENA communications, is IEEE1588PTPv2 compliant and is accurate to within ±0.1%.
The Clean Sky 2 project emphasises environmental sustainability in aviation, and the P10-D aligns perfectly with its goals by enabling more efficient, accurate, and adaptable testing processes. Addressing the unique challenges of flight test environments, the P10-D empowers engineers to push the boundaries of innovation in cleaner and greener aviation technologies.
The launch of the EvoScann® P10-D marks a new chapter in aerospace technology, setting a benchmark for performance and reliability.
